Others have been sharing their women-and-girl-centric works, so I thought I'd post mine here as well.
Bisclavret - Marie de France: The Lai of Bisclavret's Wife. Constance (Bisclavret's Wife). The wife of the werewolf baron from Brittany was many things: strong, clever, valiant. Faithless? No. Written for Yuletide 2010.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Birthday Wish. Dawn Summers. Dawn has good reason to hate both Buffy's birthdays and her own. Set pre-'Older and Far Away.' Written for a Sunday100 challenge.
The Girl Without Hands. Dawn Summers. Dawn tries to cope with the expectations of the Scoobies, the Buffybot and nightmares the summer after Buffy's death. Written for vanilla_tiger's Grimm Title Challenge.
Hansel and Gretel. Willow Rosenberg. Willow deals with both heartbreak and lack of emotion after the events of "Gingerbread." Written for vanilla_tiger's Grimm Title Challenge.
Sunnydale-Side Up. Buffy Summers. Buffy muses about Halloween, Sunnydale and her life.
Toadification. Anya. An abused woman too frightened to ask for vengeance. An abuser who enjoys causing pain. With the help of a spell to gain ultimate power and the wrath of some ancient gods, ex-vengeance demon Anya avenges the abused woman in a most appropriate way.
Discworld: Love Like a Djelibeybian. Ptraci. Ptraci doesn't mind a political marriage for the sake of Djelibeybi's succession, but she doesn't understand why everyone seems to balk at the idea of the queen taking handmaidens to bed; after all, no one minded the *king* doing it, and she's doing the same job. Written for LGBT Fest 2009.
Doctor Who and Related Fandoms: Detour. Donna Noble. Post-The End of Time. Donna's conscious mind has forgotten everything. If she's to survive, her subconscious has to find ways for her to remember. Written for the Awesome Ladies Ficathon 2010.
The Vampires of Venezuela. Rosanna Calvierri. The vampires of Venice did not die. Rosanna Calvierri was too determined to allow the race of Saturnynians--now reduced to herself and her children--to perish simply because of the Doctor. Written for Femgenficathon 2010.
The Dresden Files (bookverse): A Family in Five Acts. The Archive (Ivy). Over the years, Ivy acquires three fathers.
A Friend of Summer. Aurora (Lady of Summer/Elaine Mallory. How this will alter her, Elaine can't say. She only knows that it will. No one goes into Faerie--or leaves it--unchanged.
Mind-Killer. Charity Carpenter. Seeing the future in dreams and visions. Sensing people's natures with a touch. Being viewed as addicted or insane by those who should trust her most. Life isn't easy for a young wizard named Charity. Pre-series. Written for Femgenficathon 2009.
The Dresden Files (TV-verse): The Whispering of Angels. Winifred. Winifred reflects on her lover Hrothbert of Bainbridge, his curse and Harry's influence.
Fairy Tales and Related Fandoms: A Dance in Iron Shoes. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty. The prince was supposed to save her one last time. There was no myth or legend that told of a princess who needed to save herself from the prince. Written for Yuletide 2010.
Hamlet - Shakespeare: Rosemary for Remembrance. Ophelia, Claudia Feng, Rosie and Goldie. Hamlet in space, starring sensible and heroic Ophelia, genderswapped Claudius, clones Rosencrantz and Guilderstern and alien Fortinbras. Written for Yuletide 2010 and Chromatic Yuletide 2010.
Harry Potter: A Fine and Private Place. Tonks/Remus Lupin. When Tonks thinks about it, she realizes how much is wrong. Written for the Doomed Ships Challenge.
In Just-Spring. Lily Evans. Lily wants nothing to do with James Potter OR his unimaginative presents. Sirius, Remus and Peter, posing as a not-so-secret admirer, try to convince her to do otherwise. Pure fluff.
Hyperbole and a Half: The Alot, The Tuit, Mrs. Gradgrind, Sophie and Me, Allie. Allie, Allie's Mom, Sophie, Mrs. Gradgrind. Allie's mom, teacher and best friend all insist that Alots are not real animals. Allie's friend the Alot is determined to prove that "imaginary" doesn't mean "unreal." Written for Yuletide 2010.
Macbeth - Shakespeare: Harbingers of Blood. Lady Macbeth. Queens have power. They need not hide who and what they are for safety's sake. But more than that--queens have names. And Lady Macbeth would do much to be known and remembered under her own name. Written for Femgenficathon 2010.
