This is a very long story I've been working on a very long time. It's almost all Anna Sheridan's POV. I didn't get done what I wanted to this year, but I love this community, and as I write female-centered fic pretty much year round, I thought I'd go ahead and link my past year's output here. Mostly Babylon 5, with one Buckaroo Banzai piece, and a Being Human short fic. Three of these were written for

femgenficathon this past year, one was my entry for

babylon5_love month. One is an update to an epic 'Susan Ivanova and Delenn rule the Universe' story; if you end up curious the various parts are all tagged 'S&D'.

One of my favorite things about Babylon 5 is the strong, kick-ass women. They weren't used enough or to their full potential, but the show did pretty well, and filling in those gaps? That's what fic is for!

A/N: This is a Babylon 5 / BtVS crossover, but AU for both. It is a reduction from a story idea (originally to include the ref: "Inspired by the Circle prompt at open_on_sunday."), surrounding speculations I shared with someone I met, quite casually, about Lennier's fall from grace, and possible redemption, in S5 of Bab5 but, just for the hell of it, I decided to MasterChef''it, and turn it into a proper drabble. I'm hoping, after doing a little research on Babylon 5, to do a longer story, based on the original idea. I won't tell you what the inspiration for the format is, but as a kind of cryptic clue... let's call it a 7-inch disco remix (I'd actually be willing to pm the not-too-much-longer original form of this to anyone who's interested. Call it the contrast-and-compare DVD extra option... (Yes! I know I'm a whore! But I do work cheap, so there is that :-)...)
Characters: A Witch, Two Minbaris, and a Slayer... maybe?) (Okay, who can spot the Firefly joke hidden somewhere in there :-) ... ?

The witch nodded and, despite her vivid facial scarification; seemed to smile as Delenn took the PADD and asked; curious, "This is not a Minbari name."

"A nickname, beloved."

For the first time in Lennier's memory, the ancient witch Tara Maclay cried; then laughing aloud, she said, "The first Slayer on Minbar for countless generations is called Buffy!"

I haven't had a chance to contribute as much as I would have liked to this round of

halfamoon, though I hope to get more in before the end. But in the meantime: Last June I hosted a HB(adass)IC poll at my journal. On the one hand, I have issues with these contests; the competitive, "there can only be one" nature of them when the only thing the characters have in common is their gender can be problematic. On the other hand, interactive celebration of Our Heroines! So we did the poll, and every time a character got voted out I ~~drafted my friends~~ recruited volunteers to write appreciation post/picspams for them. The result was 25 character love posts, and hopefully much fun had by all.
