I love Miranda Barlow, I love every aspect of her character, and I have been gifted with some lovely Miranda Barlow-focused and POV fic this year, so here's a current-focused Miranda Barlow-focused rec post.

What I love about the entire thing with Miranda is that her entire family arrangement is queer in every way possible (to me of course), and just... yeah. She is a badass who was ahead of her time.

Miranda Barlow is one of my favorite characters. She's definitely my favorite character on Black Sails. She's inspired a lot of fic for me. If the fic doesn't have an element of Miranda appreciation to it then it's not for me, in this fandom. (I also really love Max and Anne on this show, but the trajectory for Miranda just speaks to me in an intense way.)

There is so much LGBT representation on this show, and it really shows how LGBT people make it work (or don't). I just LOVE this little show, which was able to complete its arc as intended (mostly) and just...I love it.

A Promise Kept
Notes: Written a few days before the start of Half A Moon. My Black Sails fan group ran a first person challenge. I have to admit to being heavily influenced to do this by this amazing fic rec above. But Miranda will forever and always be my favorite.
