My Recs

An Afternoon in Ordinary Time by snarkypants may now be my fave post-Narada Pike/Number One story ever. The voices are perfect, and the relationship dynamic makes my heart sing.

Mockingbird by waldorph is an amazing Number One story with a fascinating take on Ilyrian society.

Everything You Touch, Burns by boosette is Number One being AWESOME and blockade-running during the Cardassian occupation of Bajor (which we'll just assume goes on for 100+ years instead of 50 in the AOS universe).

Punch It is a Pike/Number One story set in an AU where Jim never took Pike's dare, but ends up in Starfleet anyway. I love not just Chris and Number One in this, but Winona is absolutely AMAZING.

Re: Fraternization Regulations is MADE OF RAINBOWS AND LOLZ.

Barely, OTOH, is just a lovely portrait of Pike and Number One and makes me sigh.

The Orion-On-Vulcan Method by anodyna is Spock Prime/Gaila post-movie fic OF AWESOME.

Towns Unstormed and Battles Yet to Come by boosette is Pike/Number One goodness that makes me SO HAPPY.

Welcome Interruptions by celebros is OMG SO AWESOME I COULD CRY. It's Winona Kirk and Cadet Pike and just so much more than I could have imagined, when I put out the prompt way the hell back in June. Jim is so his mother's son, WOW. Just a gorgeous look at the Kirk family, and Winona in particular. And PIKE. There are lessons he's learning here that he may not even realise he's learning until it's him on that shuttlecraft heading over to the Narada, and I LOVE IT SO HARD OMG.

I'm just loving the author's complex relationship between Bones and Chapel here, and also Bones' friendship with Kirk.
