DC doesn't exactly have a great track record when it comes to female characters and their relationships, so I particularly wanted to showcase some of my favourite female friendships/rivalries/romances (although for a few of them, I just liked the art). Featuring Bats, Birds, Outsiders, Young Justice, the Secret Six, a few Justice Leaguers, and Titans past and present.

Hiya! So I'm writing a Jenny fic. So far there are two parts, each around 1,000 words. I think there will be four in total. My first completed long fic, so I hope you enjoy it! It was inspired by how many times the word "vegeance" is used in relation to Jenny and her people. It's a strong theme in season 2, and I wanted to incorporate this with how it's used later on.

Title: Child of Vengeance.
Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Word Count: 2,000.
Summary: Jenny has always avoided vengeance. Her people's obsession with it drove her from them. But now, a victim of Angelus and fearing for her loved ones, vengeance may be her only hope.

Princess Tutu is a fandom that I see get attention about twice a year: during

halfamoon and Yuletide. Granted, most of my fandoms are Western live-action shows, but I still don't see Princess Tutu getting nearly the amount of love it deserves. I don't know if it's that it's an anime, or that it involves ballet, or that it does not at all shy away from its fairytale aspects, but I'm here to tell you a little bit about why you should give Princess Tutu a chance, even if its name makes you wince.

(Its name makes everybody wince, right up to the very end of the very last episode when you find yourself thinking, "Yeah, there's nothing else it could've been named.")

Meet Santa Barbara Police Detective Juliet O'Hara (played by Maggie Lawson), one of my favorite female characters. In any other group, she'd be the Crazy Girl, but, surrounded by the other characters of Psych, she's the Sane One. She is genuinely a nice person, it's also Important to her to be liked, which ties into her competitive nature. She's diligent, hard-working, and dedicated, without it making her into a miserable bore. She has an underlying geekiness, and she can sometimes get overly invested in silly things. Some of what I like about Jules is, admittedly, intangible: she just makes me happy.
