Recs: Teyla recs (SGA)

Here are a few of my favorite Teyla stories and art created in the past year, with an emphasis on the sensual:

Come Undone by [livejournal.com profile] ladyjax (OT4, NC-17). A pleasantly relaxed and smutty post-series Teylacentric piece. I love stories where all the boys are focused on Teyla, and this one plays with its light d/s elements in a way that's hot, loving, and surprisingly plausible.

The edge of a knife by [livejournal.com profile] sabinelagrande (Teyla/Todd, NC-17). The opposite power dynamic, in a vignette that hits a scenario that's been crying out to be written since "The Queen" (and I don't even find Todd that attractive).

Enso by [livejournal.com profile] isagel (OT4, NC-17). It makes perfect sense that Teyla, who finds calm and solace in the physical activity of sparring, would also do so in vigorous sex.

Missing Breath by [livejournal.com profile] perspi (gen). This is a gorgeous Ronon portrait, but I also love this writer's view of a broken Teyla and her natural and vivid depiction of Pegasus cultures (always a challenge given canon's superficiality and sometimes outright stupidity on the subject).

i like my body by [livejournal.com profile] stitched_scars (art, SFW). Moody, dreamy study of Teyla's physicality.

Steampunk AU by [livejournal.com profile] leyna55 (art, SFW). This is a great team study, but I especially love her poised and proper Edwardian Teyla with her walking stick of sekrit doom.

And, as a bonus, one older story:

Seawall by [livejournal.com profile] wojelah (John/Teyla). A vivid depiction of Teyla's powers and a compelling, awkward, tender John/Teyla dynamic.

In conclusion: there should be more Teyla porn!

hey, thanks for making this rec list - I've found a few wonderful things that I didn't know existed. Hurrah!
